How perfect Allah is, and all praise is for Allah, and none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, Allah is the greatest and there is no power nor might except with Allah, The Most High, The Supreme,' [3rd and 4th kalimahs] And then supplicates: 'O my Lord forgive me,' will be forgiven. Al Waleed said, "or he(sws) said: 'and then asks, he will be answered. If he then performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted'." *** The following book has many duas of the Prophet(sws), including the one mentioned here and in Wael's post. Its an excellent and essential pocket size book to carry with you at all times. 'Fortification of the Muslim through rememberance and supplication from the Quran and Sunnah'. Its beautiful, I'd love to be there to contemplate. You made a good point in saying that we are blessed as Muslims for being given a dua for every affliction or occassion. I recall a post on Islamicanswers.com where a sister found it a burden having to say 'Alhumdulillah' instead of 'Thank God'. Most amazing picture Brother.
